Uttarbanga Health City Forum is born out Shri Malay Pit ‘s entrepreneurial vision with the Officials of hundreds of teacher training centers of the state gathered of creating a difference in the Health care Sector by educating people. Thus, his aspiration to serve the society by imparting knowledge and ensuring employability culminated into Uttarabnga Health City Forum. Uttarbanga Health City Forum is committed to focusing on a policy of consistent quality enrichment of the health care services provided to promote the growth and economic prosperity of the nation.
The managements of hundreds of teacher training institutes in West Bengal have come together to form All Bengal Teachers Training Institutes (WBTTI) (www.wbtti.com). Members of this organization, who are interested in investing in the health sector, have formed Uttar Banga Health City Forum.
Uttar Banga Health City Forum is a non-profit organization that has founded the goal of improving the health and well-being of people in North Bengal. The organization has been involved in a variety of health-related initiatives, including providing free medical services, conducting health awareness campaigns and advocating for better healthcare policies.
Uttar Banga Health City Forum has formed a private limited company (as per section 8 of the Companies Act) to build a Health City and a Medical College in North Bengal. The main aim of this project is to improve the overall quality of healthcare in the region.
A state-of-the-art health suburb or health city will be built in North Bengal. The project will include a medical college, a hospital, a nursing college, a paramedical college, a research institute and a number of other healthcare facilities.
In 2016 World Health Organization (WHO) has clearly stated about the concept of health city. This health city programme helps managing and planning urbanization to control pollution, overcrowding, violence, mental illness, increased access to healthcare and nutritious foods. It includes multiple phases with 11 primary tenants: 1) quality of the physical environment, 2) sustainable ecosystem, 3) supportive communities, 4) community participation for decision-making, 5) basic needs of the community members, 6) resource accessibility, 7) booming economy, 8) cultural connections, 9) health city to provide all of the aforementioned tenants, 10) strong public-health agencies and 11) low disease rates and high health status.
The land for the project has already been acquired. Construction is expected to begin within a very short time and the health city is expected to be completed on 2024.
The project is being funded by private investment and interested persons from different part of the world. We strongly believe that the project will be a major asset to the region and will provide high-quality healthcare to the people of North Bengal.
